The Hampstead Players 2020 Summer Production

Our summer production will be
A Midsummer's Night Dream
directed by Veronica Stalberg, assisted by Sheena Craig.

Auditions will be in the Church on
Thursday March 5th at 7.30 pm
Sunday March 8th at 5.30 pm

(If the main doors are not open go down the south side of the Church and up the steps)

The major roles, with approximate playing ages are:
Theseus – Duke of Athens 40 - 60s
Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons 30s - 60s
Egeus – father of Hermia 40s - 60s
Hermia – in love with Lysander 20s - 40s
Lysander – In love with Hermia 20s - 40s
Demetrius- suitor to Hermia 20s - 40s
Helena – in love with Demetrius 20s - 40s
Puck – mischievous sprite 20s - 40s
Titania – Queen of the fairies 40s - 60s
Oberon – King of the Fairies 40s - 60s
Bottom, Peter Quince etc 20s - 60s
Fairy servants to Titania Children

Some parts can be doubled or cut and be played by male or female in traditional Shakespearean style.

We will be providing 10 minute audition slots. If you would like to book a specific slot before the audition please email

You do not have to be a member of the Hampstead Players to audition but if you accept a part you must become a member by or at the first rehearsal

Performances will be on the evenings of 2nd, 3rd and 4th July with a matinee on the Saturday afternoon.
