Hampstead Players 2019 Summer Production
“Blood will have blood.”
Our summer production will be Macbeth, directed by Richard Ward and Matthew Williams.
“My hands are of your colour; but I shame to wear a heart so white.”
A traumatic war. A powerful couple. Vaulting ambition.
A gripping portrait of the impact of war, violence and murder on the human psyche. Violence breeds violence. Minds, relationships and lives twist, buckle and break.
“We are yet but young in deed”…

There are also two parts for children, Fleance and Macduff’s Child, which could be doubled. Please contact us if you know anyone who would be interested.
There are a number of other smaller parts from named lords (Menteith, Caithness, Siward, Young Siward, Seyton) to unnamed characters (Sergeant, Old Man, Doctor…). With suitable cuts and doubling, we anticipate casting approximately 15 people, with a fairly even split between men and women.
